The SUPER 800 is ideal for inner-city applications or tasks in the landscaping sector. The engine installed in the small paver complies with the COM 3a emissions directive, meaning that exhaust and noise emissions are now even lower.

The overall concept of the SUPER 1103-2 makes it a particularly economical and compact-size paver. Whenever minor roads, paths or small areas need to be paved, the wheeled VÖGELE machine is the right choice.

The SUPER 1300-2 comes with optimized hopper walls and upgraded power and cooling systems. In the wake of switching to the COM 3 engines, the power output has been increased to 75kW. What's more, pave widths up to 5m are now possible.

Compact, powerful and versatile: The SUPER 1800-2 can be used as a spray paver with SprayJet Module or as a conventional paver without it.

When large volumes of bitumen emulsion have to be sprayed, an extra emulsion tank (option) is available, so that a total of 7,000 litres of emulsion can be carried on board the paver for spraying.

Also new: Optional spray bars are available for the SUPER 1800-2 with SprayJet Module for pave widths up to 6m. The lateral spray bars are longer and fitted with two additional nozzles, so that a total of 24 nozzles is available for spraying.

With a maximum pave width of 13m, the SUPER 2100-2 is ideal for the jointless surfacing of motorways or large traffic areas. When equipped with a High Compaction Screed (such as SB 250 TP2), perfect compaction results are achieved along with highest surface accuracy.

Optimal ergonomics, a clear arrangement of all controls and easy operation characterize the ErgoPlus® operating system. To make this tangible for visitors to the exhibition, VÖGELE have brought their ErgoPlus® simulator to Intermat in Paris.

The industry’s most modern plant is being built in Ludwigshafen, in close vicinity to Mannheim, on an area of 370,000m². This is four times the size of the present location.

The new plant's foundation stone ceremony was celebrated by VÖGELE in early March. According to the project's schedule, the world's most modern production facility for road paving equipment will be fully operational by the end of 2010.

VÖGELE Present Largest Fleet of Pavers

JOSEPH VÖGELE AG, Germany, presents the largest fleet of road paving equipment at Intermat 2009. Six pavers and a variety of screeds provide an overview of a product range unrivalled in the industry. The technologies presented by VÖGELE offer practicable, cost-efficient answers for both everyday and special jobs in modern road construction.

SUPER 800 – Professional asphalt paving on small areas

From its range of small pavers, VÖGELE are bringing their successful SUPER 800 to the venue on the River Seine. The small machine of compact design excels in inner-city road construction and is ideal for tasks in the landscaping sector. With a pave width of 0.5m to 3.2m and numerous practical features, such as a clearance width of just 1.1m and an asymmetrical material hopper, it masters all tasks in this segment excellently.

The SUPER 800's engine is both efficient and eco-friendly. For a good half year now, the engines installed in the small pavers comply with the new COM 3a directive for exhaust emission. In other words, both pollutant and noise emission levels are even lower than before.

Compact paver with more power and pave widths up to 5m

At Intermat, VÖGELE will also be presenting their extremely quiet SUPER 1300-2, a paver in the compact equipment class, as well as their smallest wheeled paver, the SUPER 1103-2. When developing these models, the product designers focused on upgraded power and cooling systems and on optimizing the hopper walls.

In the wake of switching to the new COM 3 engines, the power output of the SUPER 1300-2 has increased a remarkable 15 percent to 75kW. Also new are the longer bolt-on extensions of 2 x 80cm allowing jointless paving across a maximum pave width of 5m. In terms of performance, the user-friendly tracked paver is without doubt the leader in its class.

SUPER 1800-2: Convincing all-rounders

A prime example of the VÖGELE equipment’s high flexibility is the family of tracked pavers in the “SUPER 1800 class”. Two machines from this range will also be on show in Paris: a SUPER 1800-2 with AB 500-2 TP1 High Compaction Screed and a SUPER 1800-2 spray paver with SprayJet module for paving thin layers on spray seal, hot on hot.

SUPER 1800-2 with SprayJet Module:

Now with larger emulsion tank and wider pave width

Despite its special-purpose equipment, the spray paver is not a special-purpose machine in the strictest sense. Rather, it is a standard machine that is ready for the special application of paving thin layers. Thanks to the modular design, it can be quickly converted back into a normal asphalt paver within 6 hours. VÖGELE thus created the basis for high productive utilization on the one hand and cost-effectiveness on the other.

In light of the great success of their SprayJet technology, VÖGELE also increased the system’s performance. For applications that require spraying high volumes of emulsion, an extra tank is now available (option) improving both the paver’s operating radius and its productivity. The extra tank can hold an additional 5,000 litres, meaning that a total of 7,000 litres of emulsion is available for paving.

Another new feature offered for the spray paver are optional spray bars for pave widths up to 6m. For 6-metre applications, the lateral spray bars are longer and fitted with two additional spray nozzles, so that a total of 24 nozzles is equipped for spraying. Combined with a VÖGELE AB 600-2 Extending Screed or an AB 500-2 with bolt-on extensions, the spray paver is capable of easily handling pave widths up to 6m.

SUPER 2100-2: When maximum performance is required

With their SUPER 2100-2, VÖGELE are presenting another multi-talented machine in the French capital. Handling laydown rates up to 1,100 t/h, this tracked paver is the ideal choice for large job sites. Its maximum pave width of 13m allows jointless surfacing of motorways, airfields or large traffic areas. And when equipped with a High Compaction Screed (at Intermat the SUPER 2100-2 will be on show with a SB 250 Fixed-Width Screed in TP2 version), perfect compaction results are achieved along with highest surface accuracy.

ErgoPlus® simulator: hands-on user friendliness

From the compact pavers all the way to the high-performance SUPER 2100-2, all VÖGELE machines are equipped as standard with ErgoPlus®, the operating system for easy paver handling. This ergonomic and user-friendly concept encompasses the operator's platform, the consoles for paver and screed operators and NIVELTRONIC Plus®, VÖGELE’s own System for Automated Grade and Slope Control.

The logical and practical layout of the controls and the optimized arrangement of all functions make paver operation child's play. Furthermore, the system allows errors to be avoided, thus enhancing safety on the job site and improving paving quality.

To make this tangible for visitors to the exhibition, VÖGELE have brought their ErgoPlus® simulator to Intermat in Paris. Just how easy it is to use the system can be experienced first-hand on the simulator.

The world market leader moves to new location

The innovative strength and high quality of VÖGELE machines and services have made it possible for the company to maintain and continuously expand its position as leader of the world market for many years. When the company's traditional home in Mannheim reached the limits of its capacity, a decision was made in 2008 to build a new plant on a new site in Ludwigshafen, in close vicinity to Mannheim. With a total area of 370,000m², four times the size of the the present location will be available.

The new plant's foundation stone ceremony was celebrated in March this year. Guest speakers included the Lady Mayoress of Ludwigshafen, Dr Eva Lohse, and the Minister for Economy, Traffic and Agriculture in Rhineland-Palatinate, Hendrik Hering. The numerous guests from the world of politics, the economy and various associations were welcomed by Dr Christian Pawlik, Member of the VÖGELE Board of Directors and Stefan Wirtgen, Chairman of the Supervisory Board.

Civil engineering works on the site in Ludwigshafen are almost completed and contracts have been awarded for construction work on the factory. According to the schedule for the project, the first part of the move will take place in the summer of 2010. By the end of 2010, the world's most modern production facility for road pavers will be fully operational.
