The leader of the world paver market is presenting the new "dash 3" generation of pavers for the first time at this year's Intermat exhibition in Paris, France. Visitors can look forward to a real highlight in the form of the exhibited SUPER 2100-3i. A new generation of engines known as i-engines ensures higher efficiency and lower pollutant emissions, as well as lower noise levels. However, "dash 3" encompasses more than just the conversion of the engine to meet statutory requirements. VÖGELE are offering customers a completely new product with innovative technical features, user-friendly operation and a modern design. With these pavers, VÖGELE are once again proving that environmental protection and technical progress are not mutually exclusive.
VÖGELE SUPER 2100-3i
Development of the "dash 3" generation was primarily driven by the aim of offering customers up-to-date, cost-efficient paver technology that also makes a major contribution to environmental protection.
The SUPER 2100-3i is the most powerful model in the brand new generation of VÖGELE pavers. The paver's high performance and large range of uses are assured by a modern Cummins 6-cylinder engine. The suffix "i" stands for "intelligent emission control". These pavers are equipped with state-of-the-art engine technology ensuring extremely low emission levels. This makes for a healthier working environment for the operators and significantly improves the quality of the air.
In addition to environmental aspects, customers can also look forward to a multitude of technical innovations making the "dash 3" paver generation a genuine world first.
The EcoPlus package includes various features leading to a significant reduction in fuel consumption and noise levels. One example to be mentioned in this context is the splitter gearbox with ability to independently disengage hydraulic pumps when not needed. The variable-speed fan is another example. With the aid of an electronically controlled coupling, the fan speed is adjusted in line with the charge air, engine coolant and hydraulic oil temperatures. This ensures that only the output actually required is made available.
A major step forward has also been made as regards the ergonomic design. The popular ErgoPlus® operating system has been developed further for the "dash 3" pavers. The operator's console, for instance, has a larger colour display with high contrast. The adjustment of the operators’s console can now also be made more intuitively than in the past. And last but not least, the operator has been given more legroom. VÖGELE have hence further optimized the best and most modern operating concept available on the paver market.
New convenience functions further assist the paver operator. With "AutoSet", the paver can be prepared to move on the job site at the push of a button. In other words, the hopper sides and the hydraulic hopper front are folded up, the deflectors in front of the crawler tracks are raised and the augers moved into the uppermost position. The screed is raised and locked in place. After moving on the job site, the previously used paving parameters are restored at the push of a button. The automatic docking function "PaveDock" is another new feature. It efficiently absorbs impacts from the feeder. What's more, the lorry movements required during the feeding process are unmistakably communicated to the lorry driver by the paver operator via a set of signal lights.
The attractive design of VÖGELE's "dash 3" generation is another winning feature, permitting an even clearer view of all relevant parts of the paver. Integrated exhaust guidance ensures an unobstructed forward view, uncluttered by the exhaust pipe.
VÖGELE PowerFeeder MT 3000-2i Offset
Numerous factors have to be taken into consideration to ensure that a high level of paving quality is achieved in road construction. An uninterrupted supply of mix is indisputably a factor of fundamental importance. A VÖGELE feeder is therefore conducive to the economical achievement of high-quality results, especially on large-scale job sites.
The ultra-modern MT 3000-2i Offset can do a great deal more than previous feeders. The pivoting conveyor in particular opens up a wide range of applications that greatly improve machine utilization. Typical applications include confined job sites on which the paver must be fed with mix from the side. However, the VÖGELE PowerFeeder is also first choice for backfilling crash barriers on motorways or trenches.
The efficient material handling concept can achieve a peak conveying rate of 1,200t/h. This allows a 25-tonne feed lorry to be emptied in 60 seconds flat. The MT 3000-2i Offset boasts an innovative machine concept with economical consumption and compact dimensions.
VÖGELE SUPER 1800-2 with SprayJet Module
The spray paver from VÖGELE is ideal for placing thin asphalt overlays on spray seal, “hot on hot”. But for non-specialized road building contractors, too, this paver is an economical and clean alternative wherever bitumen emulsion is to be pre-sprayed immediately before paving an asphalt course.
Since a spraying pressure of 3 bar (maximum) prevails in the system, the spraying work can be performed with a minimum of spray mist and pollution. As this was not possible with previous systems, the VÖGELE spray paver is a trailblazer in both economical and ecological terms.
VÖGELE SUPER 1300-2
The
SUPER 1300-2 is an extremely compact tracked paver which, thanks to its small size, handles a wide range of most varied surfacing tasks, such as combined footpaths and cycle paths, farm track applications or minor roadways. With a maximum laydown rate of 350t/h, the
SUPER 1300-2 is also an excellent performer when it comes to tackling major paving jobs.
VÖGELE SUPER 700
The
SUPER 700 is ideal for surfacing footpaths and cycle paths, for paving asphalt on traffic areas and minor roads, as well as for landscaping contracts. Machine-based laying of floors inside factory halls or basement garages makes high demands on paver technology as it calls for a compact design and excellent manœuvrability. Here too, the mini-paver from VÖGELE is ideal for the job.
The right VÖGELE paver for every job
VÖGELE's range currently encompasses 21 tractor units, two feeders, various special-purpose machines and 19 different screed models. No other manufacturer offers such a complete range of products. With VÖGELE machines, customers are always optimally prepared for every possible paving job.
This variety will also be highlighted at the Intermat 2012. The five pavers showcased represent a whole multitude of applications.
