When developing the PowerFeeder generation, a special focus was placed on high-performance and precise handling of different mixes for different applications. Other materials can thus also be conveyed in addition to asphalt, such as topsoil, gravel, water-bound base course mixes or recycled materials. Thanks to its pivoting conveyor, the MT 3000-2 Offset opens up a whole range of extremely interesting applications to contractors and allows the machine to be used highly economically.

In large-scale road construction projects such as motorway construction or rehabilitation, non-stop supply of the paver with mix and continuous paving are crucial. For only then can daily laydown rates of 4,000t and more be achieved. If the interval for changing the lorries that supply the feeder with mix is too long, a bottleneck ensues, reducing the actually achievable laydown rate and impeding job-site logistics. This is why VÖGELE have designed the new PowerFeeder generation for maximum performance.
Thanks to the concept of the PowerFeeder MT 3000-2 Offset, it is possible to empty even large mix lorries in one go. The process of emptying a lorry containing 25t of mix unfolds in a breathtaking 60 seconds. The new VÖGELE PowerFeeder thus speeds up job-site logistics considerably, as the lorry drivers have more time for the process-critical manœuvring.
If the total mix storage capacity in the complete system is taken into account, including the paver's conveyors and auger tunnel, then the VÖGELE system reaches a total storage capacity of more than 40 tonnes of mix.

The feeding process is complete. The mix has been distributed into the feeder’s receiving hopper and the extra hopper of the paver.
The PowerFeeder MT 3000-2 Offset comes with a host of new innovations. In particular, the pivoting conveyor is a major advantage as this allows the feeder to be used in a wide range of new applications.
The newly developed conveyor can be pivoted to the left or right by 55° and inclined by 23°. These two features yield a host of advantages. They include feeding pavers from the side, backfilling trenches or filling the cavities in safety barriers during motorway construction, as well as reconstruction measures on hard shoulders. What's more, working with the PowerFeeder MT 3000-2 Offset is not confined to bituminous mixes alone. The feeder concept has been designed so that other materials can be conveyed in addition to asphalt, such as topsoil, gravel, water-bound base course mixes or recycled materials.

2 As the conveyor can be pivoted through +/- 55° and can be precisely controlled, it is ideal for backfilling all kinds of trenches. The maximum distance from the outer edge of the feeder to the discharge point of the conveyor is 3.5m.
